December 2023 Holiday Camp
Have some fun learning to code by creating a Treasure Hunt Game with Paw Patrol Cartoon Characters.
At the end of the workshop, students will learn the art of game design and create a simple yet fun game using their creativity and
imagination. This is a fun-filled camp aimed to trigger the interests of students ages 5-6 years old.
Course Details
Day 01
During this session, students will be familiarized with Tynker, an educational programming platform designed to teach game and program creation. They will acquire skills in game design, including brainstorming ideas for backgrounds, characters, and character interactions with both other in-game characters and the player.
Moreover, students will gain proficiency in programming interactive and engaging elements within their games, as well as employing coding techniques to animate their in-game characters.
Day 02
In this session, students will review the concepts covered on Day 1 and proceed to design an additional level for their treasure hunt game. This exercise will reinforce their learning while allowing them to demonstrate their coding skills by creating a more challenging level.
Additionally, students will delve deeper into event and animation blocks to enhance the interactivity of their game. At the conclusion of the workshop, students will have the opportunity to showcase and play each other’s creations.
